Andrea, first choice for Aadukalam?

Interestingly, Andrea Jeremiah was the first option for the role of an Anglo-Indian girl in Dhanush's National-Award-winning Aadukalam, but the actress had missed out on the opportunity. The offer then went to Taapsee Pannu and the Punjabi lass made her debut with the role.

Though it was a miss for Andrea, she says that was happy Taapsee got the offer. However, Andrea did make her presence felt in the character by dubbing for Taapsee. Her work and voice fetched praises, especially the Anglo-Indian diction.
