The first one is Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga in which Bindhu is pairing with him for the first time. As Bindhu has developed 'Palakkam' with Vimal through this movie, she was confident that she can perform well with him in further movies.
As Vimal aslo had Palakkam with Bindhu, he has preferred her as his pair for his movie Desingu Raja.
Now the Palakkam is going well and Bindhu his happy and feels confortable with Vimal.
Thamirabarani Banu is now Muktha Banu
Though the movie Thamirabarani was successful and a box office hit, there was no takers for Banu in either Kollywood or any other woods.
She was in news for all wrong reasons, at one stage her father claiming that her mother is using her for prostitution.
Now, she has recovered from all such allegations, and is trying to get a place in Kollywood.
Banu is doing a movie based on Nagercoil in which she is speaking the Tamil of that area which has a mixture of Malayalam with Tamil. Banu will here in after be called as Muktha Banu.
Muktha Banu, native of Kerala feels that she is comfortable to speak Nagercoil slang Tamil.
Saranya Mohan collapsed during shooting
Young actress Saranya Mohan who started her career as a child artiste in Malayalam is all set for Bollywood debut with the remake of director Susindran's Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, titled Badlapur Boys.Sources say that during the film shoot, Saranya couldn't tolerate the heat wave and collapsed when a scene was being shot. The film crew reportedly panicked and immediately took her to a hospital for
treatment where she is recovering now.
Saranya Mohan is known for her films like Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and Azhagarsamiyin Kudirai. Reports say Saranya is doing fine and it was just the heat which took the toll on her. Best of luck Saranya.

Tamil Film Actors to observe one day token fast on Srilanka issue
Following the one-day token fast observed by Tamil Nadu Film Directors' Association and Film Employees' Federation of South India (FEFSI) on March 19, it is now the turn of the Nadigar Sangam to go on a strike in support of Sri Lankan Tamils.The actors from the Tamil film industry will go on a token fast on April 2 at the Nadigar Sangam premises.A source in the know says, "The Sri Lankan issue has snowballed into a major talking point after the protests by the college students.The fast called for by the directors' union received phenomenal response but the absence of actors was sorely felt.Now, with top stars like Rajini and Kamal Haasan agreeing to be present for this fast, it will only highlight the issue better.We hear that film shoots for that day have been cancelled and actors who are presently out of station have also been urged to return to Chennai for the fast.

Children of film stars often don't always look inside their homes for inspiration. Star kids are now looking beyond their parents for other role models and mentors.
A number of film stars will see their children debut on the silver screen this year, and it is no surprise that the young breed is raring to go. Having watched their parents win fame and fan affection, they are their closest role models. But there are other young guns for whom the world of cinema and people outside the immediate family provide inspiration and example.
Vikram Prabhu sought the blessings of Ajith and Rajinikanth prior to the release of his film, ‘Kumki’. Shanthanoo Bhagyaraj insisted that his mother, Poornima Bhagyaraj (an actress from yesteryear) make her comeback with Vijay's ‘Jilla’ -Shanthanoo is a huge fan of Vijay.
Role models for young actors these days are not stars from their own families alone. Being exposed to the world of cinema on their own terms is helping them create ideals and role models of their own. “It would be really weird for me to pick just one person who's inspired me,” says Shruti Haasan.
“There are some immensely hard-working people in this industry that I call my family.
My parents too belong to this film fraternity, and I've grown up with them, and I have to thank my parents for giving me a very humble upbringing. I went to school on a school bus, had non-filmi friends. And when I went to America, being Kamal Haasan's daughter didn't have much of an impact.”
Being an individual has helped her carve a niche for herself, she points out. “It was important I carried myself without that price tag, and that has definitely helped me become the person I am,” she says.
Having grown up watching her father on the big screen, it was but obvious for Aishwarya Arjun, daughter of Action King Arjun, to make her entry into the film industry now. But has the pressure of carrying her pressure of carrying father's name hit her yet?
“Your work will always be compared with that of your parents, and you have to live up to the name. But then again, I am trying not to take the pressure too seriously,” says Aishwarya. She also realises how important it is to have a mentor in the industry, and who can be better than one's own father? “I have grown up watching his films, so it is natural for my dad to advise me and share his experience about the film fraternity,” says Aishwarya who is all set to make her debut opposite Vishal in ‘Pattathu Yaanai’.
While some might be ready to face the world, there are still those who believe in finding inspiration at home. Karthika Nair who made her Malayalam debut with ‘Makaramanju’ in 2011 had her actress mother Radha coach her. Did Radha feel the need to be there with her daughter at all times? “The time when we were actors was different,” says Radha. “Even for ‘Makaramanju’, I ensured I was there for my daughter when she needed me. Being the youngest amongst the team, her character required a certain maturity and launching my daughter in an arty film was an even bigger challenge.
I encouraged her and briefed her because it was a substantial role she had received early in her career.”
Bharath's Killadi to hit theatres
Venkatesh is a past master in action and comedy scripts. 'Killadi' is no different.
Bharath, who disappeared from the scene for some time, is back with a film, titled Killadi. Directed by A. Venkatesh, who is known for his high-action masala films, Killadi, produced by Salem Chandrashekar, was lying in the cans for unforeseen reasons despite being completed is all set to release soon.
The glamorous Nila, who also all but vanished from the scene, is back. “Bharat and I are not the typical romantic pair in the film. In fact, we don’t even meet each other till the interval,” Nila had said in an earlier interview. The audio, with Srikanth Deva’s compositions, was released in the city recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek who plays the comedian, said, “Venkatesh is a past master in action and comedy scripts. Killadi is no different.
Its humour rocks.” Several film personalities, including Bharath, Venkatesh, K.R., Perarasu, Gnanvel Raja and Siva, were present on the occasion.
Dhansika pairs up with Vijay Sethupathi for Sangudevan
Dhansika who is getting good reviews for her performance in the
recently released 'Paradesi' directed by Bala has signed her next flick
'Sangudevan' opposite happening actor Vijay Sethupathy.
Produced by JSK Film Corporation and directed by Sudhakar, a former assistant to director Hari, the film is expected to go on floors by May.
Dhansika has revealed that she was been approached by film makers continuously with rural based films while she was keen on working in city based movies.
She has expressed her happiness about her desire being fulfiller through Sangudevan.
Dhansika, who was appreciated for her roles in films like Peranmai and Aravaan is also working on two other films namely 'Ya Ya' and 'Vizhithiru'.
Bala's Paradesi receives Thumbs Up from Box Office too!
Director Bala is a happy man as his movie Paradesi has not only won thumbs up from critics but also from the audience.
Adding to that, the film has won a National Award in Best Costume Design department.
More importantly, the film, which has an off-beat content, is doing well at the Box Office, thereby bringing a smile on the face of the movie bosses.

According to traders, the film is expected to have raked in above Rs 4 crores in the state.

Thiruppathi Bros Dum Dum Pee Pee film stayed by High Court
Nandini Reddy's Jabardasth starring Siddarth and Samantha is being dubbed in Tamil as Dum Dum Pee Pee by Thirrupathy Brothers.
With the rumours of Siddarth and Samantha having married doing the rounds the film was expected more, but the Delhi High Court has given a stay order on the film's release.
Yaash Raj Films filed a case against makers of Telugu film 'Jabardasth' which is said to be an unauthorised remake of Yash Raj films Band Baaja Baaraat in Delhi court.
Yash Raj requested a stay on Jabardasth's Tamil version release titled 'Dum Dum Pee Pee' and release of DVD's, VCD's, Blue-ray & Satellite & other electronic platforms.
The Delhi court gave a temporary stay on film release in all platforms and its Tamil version too.
The High Court has also ordered the producers to stop the screening as well as the release of Jabardasth in any other formats, which means Thirrupathy Brothers' Dum Dum Pee Pee will have to wait till the problem gets sort out.
Ajith and Vijay are my two eyes - Director Ezhil
Director Ezhil, who has directed two of the biggest stars in K-town,
Ajith and Vijay, has expressed his desire to direct both of them, some
time again in the future.
The director had made Thulladha Manamum Thullum with Viijay, and Poovellam Un Vaasam and Raja with Ajith.
All these films were well received by the audience. Ezhil is now busy working with actor Vimal for his next outing, Desinguraja.
However, the director stated during an interview that both Vijay and Ajith were like his two eyes and that he was looking forward to working with them once again.

Gautham Menon's Thanga Meengal trailer receives good response from Social network
Gautham Menon maybe going through a rough patch with his former producer Elred Kumar, with the duo wrapped up in legal tangles.
But it looks like there is a silver lining in his dark cloud after all.
The director, who is producing Thanga Meengal under his banner Photon Kathaas, is upbeat about the film.
The trailer has crossed the one lakh viewership on the Internet and Gautham is pleased with the response.
The film has Katradhu Tamil director Ram wielding the megaphone once again.
He is also playing the lead role of a father in this tender story about a father-daughter relationship.
The film was delayed due to several reasons, and the audio will be launched soon.
Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the film also casts actors Sadhana, Sally and Padmapriya.
Thanga Meengal is set in a small town and has an emotional pull which, Gautham feels, will strike a chord with audiences.
According to Gautham, the songs are ‘soulful and sweet, like the Yesudas and Ilayaraja combination songs of the past’.

Nayantara joins Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal shoot
Nayantara
is playing the female lead in Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal. She recently
joined Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal team in Coimbatore after completing her
Mumbai schedule of Ajith’s upcoming venture Valai (tentative title).
Udhayanidhi Stalin is playing the lead role and S. R. Prabhakaran of
Sundarapandian fame is wielding the megaphone for Idhu Kathirvelan
Kadhal. Harris Jayraj is composing the tunes for this film.
Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal has also got Santhanam and Saranya Ponvannan in
the supporting roles. Udhayanidhi Stalin is producing this flick under
Red Giant Films productions.
Enjoyed playing bride, says actress Lekha Washington

Lekha Washington, known for playing offbeat roles, says she enjoyed
playing a bride in upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy “Kalyana Samayal
Saadham” (KSS), a story about the chaos of a big fat south Indian
wedding.
“My career is inundated with offbeat roles, but thanks to KSS, I got to
present myself as a heroine for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed
playing a bride in the film because I got to be portrayed as a beautiful
south Indian. Imagine how a family treats a bride in real life, such is
the treatment I was receiving on sets,” Lekha said.
She is paired opposite Prasanna Venkatesan in the film, in which she plays a very strong character.
“One of the reasons I signed the film is because I essay a very powerful
character. I haven’t played such a character in my career. I play this
spunky, free-spirited girl raised in a typical middle class family,” she
added.
Lekha said she enjoys working with a young team.
“The team of KSS is young and over enthusiastic. God forbid, we didn’t
have a single fight or any sort of misunderstanding while shooting. I
think this is one of the advantages of working with a young team as they
are highly professional and committed,” she said.
KSS is directed by debutant R.S. Prasanna. It also features Delhi Ganesh and Uma Padmanabhan in important roles.
Arun Vaidyanathan and Ananth Govindan have jointly produced the film, which is currently in post-production phase.
Meanwhile, Lekha is currently busy shooting for Hindi action
crime-thriller “Power”, which is being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
Ajith kumar to go for a surgery !!!

was held at the AVM Studios in Vadapalani and they won Rs 50 lakhs. It
was announced that they will share the prize money with an NGO. The
money will be donated to Petral Thaan Pillaya and Can Care.
It has to be ntoed that Kamal is known for his philantrophic activities

'Settai' Gets U Soon
UTV's upcoming Tamil flick gets 30% tax exemption. Why? Because the Arya-Hansika starrer 'Settai' has just acquired 'U' certificate. The running time of the movie is two hours and six minutes, and it is an out-and-out family entertainer.
'Settai' also has Anjali and Premgi Amaren to its star cast. The film is directed by Kannan of 'Jeyam Kondan' fame, and its music is scored by Thaman. It is worth mentioning that 'Agalathey Agalathey' track from the movie's album continues to be a chart buster. 'Settai' is the Tamil remake of the sensational Hindi flick 'Delhi Belly'. "Not all star kids are blessed with acting prowess, but Aishwarya is an exception. I believe she has inherited acting skills from her father. She pulls of the most difficult scenes with ease and confidence. I'm extremely happy with the way she handles her role", Boopathy told IANS.
"What is impressive is that she agreed to play a school going character in her debut. I don't think the daughter of any other star actor would agree to play such a role in her first film. She is a very supportive actress and picks up quickly," he added.
She is paired opposite Vishal Krishna in the film, which also features Santhanam, Sita, Jagan, Mano Bala and Karthik in important roles.
"The shooting is progressing at brisk pace in places such as Karaikudi, Madurai, Trichy and few other places. It's a laugh riot and I'm sure audience will love it," said Boopathy.
S. Michael Rayappan has produced the film, which has music by S.S Thaman.
Ajith-Siruthai Siva's next flick titled as 'Vetrikondan'
Our readers are aware that Ajith had committed to do a movie with director Siva of Siruthai fame, a few months back. The film is slated to go on floors in April in Hyderabad, which is touted to be the actor's all-time favourite location. Tammannah Bhatia will play the female lead opposite Ajith, while Santhanam will feature in an important role.
Now the latest buzz is that 'Vetrikondan' is the title under consideration for the movie. This will be Ajith’s 53rd film and the the director apparently has a reason behind the title. It is being said that the film will touch upon Ajith's journey in the film industry and his rise to the top.
The official announcement of the movie details will be announce soon. Ajith will be seen in new avatar in this film, in recent movies he appeared in urban roles,now he changed to rural role in this film.
Ajith is currently busy with the shoot of Vishvaradhan‘s Valai (tentative title). In which Arya, Nayanatara and Tapsee playing the lead roles.
Sandhya to play a model in 'For Sale'
Sandhya says that though she plays a model, the focus is not on glamour. "So, there was no need for me to go for a makeover. It is more performance-oriented," says Sandhya. While the actress plays one of the sisters, the other sister is played by a debutante. Actor Mukesh too plays a prominent role in the film. Despite her praise-worthy performances in hit movies such as Traffic, and more recently, in Masters, Sandhya has still not been able to find a strong foothold in Mollywood.
However, it looks like the actress has started the year on a positive note. After completing the shoot of For Sale in Kochi, she is currently shooting for the Tamil film Ya Ya by Rajasekar. "Shooting for Ya Ya has been a lot of fun. I play a police constable in the film and have been paired opposite Santhanam. The movie is special, since I am attempting comedy for the first time. It is, indeed, a laugh riot and I'm just hoping that it will be a hit with the audience," says Sandhya.
Meanwhile, the actress says she will be signing up three movies in Malayalam soon. "Though, at this point, I can't let out the
details," she signs off.
Nayanthara to be seen in a Homely Look in Idhu Kathirvelin Kadhal!
The interesting and latest news about Idhu Kathirvelin Kadhal has come now. It seems as if actress Nayanthara is going to do her role in a completely homely fashion, without any room for any glamour elements in the flick. Nayanthara, in the past, has done several glamorous flicks including movies like Kalvanin Kadhali and Vallavan and so on. However, it seems she is going to take a different route, since the filmmakers are aiming at making a family entertainer without any awkward content in the flick.
The director of the movie S R Prabhakaran was available for a comment. The director told the media that Nayanthara is playing a complete homely role in Idhu Kathirvelin Kadhali, because of her characterization in the flick. He added that the movie is set in the city of Coimbatore and Nayanthara is playing the role of Pavithra, a middle class working woman. How she falls in love with Kathirvel, played by Udhayanidhi Stalin, forms the story, added the director. On quizzing further, the director revealed that he wanted to show a new Nayanthara on screen, which will give more chance for the actress to exhibit her good acting talents. The director signed off saying that the second schedule of shooting would take place in Coimbatore soon!

Siddarth visited Kalahasthi temple along with Samantha
Tollywood was in shock when reporters reported that both Siddarth and Samantha visited Kalahasthi Sivan temple together as pair.
Siddarth was introduced to cine industry through Shankar’s Boys while Samantha through Naan E.
Both Siddarth and Samantha along with both of their parents visited
Kalahasthi Sivan temple at around 11 am and together they worshipoed the
Lord.
Both performed Rahu-Kethu Pooja sitting together. After special pooja’s the pair worshiped Shiva.
When they came out, reporters tried to enquire about their relationship
and also tried to take photographs of them being together. But Siddarth
as a wild gaurd, shouted at media personnals and made them not to
capture any snaps or speak either to him or Samantha.
To be noted here is that Samantha had a severe skin disease while Siddarth is a divorcee.
Already there were gossips that Samantha is in love with Siddarth. Now,
both of them coming to a temple along with their parents have given
more straw for gossipers.
