Two girls from Dhanush’s Nayyandi crew drown to death during shoots

Nayyandi helmed by director Sargunam featuring Dhanush and Nazriya Nazim in the lead is in news for all the wrong reasons. As we had updated you about Dhanush heading for his second schedule of this flick, for the shooting spot at Edamelaiyur village in Mannargudi, the shoots were interrupted owing to an unfortunate incident involving a few from his 20 member crew.

During a break, three members from the unit namely – Saraswathi(24), Viji(21) and Suganya(22) opted to head towards the local pond to take a dip. However, things turned ugly as neither of them had enough strength to paddle the deep waters which sucked them in no time. Still, Suganya was lucky, as she was rescued from this freak accident with locals arriving for help.

The bodies of the other two girls have been found and now have been sent forth for a postmortem with the police intervening in the case. Likewise, Suganya is presently at a nearby hospital receiving treatment, as she is presently under physical stress apart from the psychological loss she suffers with the demise of her companions.We extend our deepest condolences to the families of Saraswathi and Viji.
