No more bedroom and Intimate Scenes:Sneha
Sneha has hinted that she wouldn’t be starring in bedroom sequences and intimate scenes on-screen anymore. The actress, who has spent more than a decade now in Tamil films (without ever winning a significant award for her acting, though), got married to actor Prasanna last year bringing to an end their secret courtship which spread over many months.
She was recently spotted in Haridas wherein she played a deglamorized role of a teacher. Though the film turned out to be a non-starter as many of her films had been at the box-office, Sneha’s performance was appreciated by the critics. Some critics even regretted Sneha not getting to perform such characters frequently. Sneha is also awaiting her Vidiyal opposite Sarath Kumar, a film she took up prior to her marriage.
A leading director is said to have met Sneha recently and narrated a script to her. Though Sneha loved the script, she refused to star in the film. Commenting about the film offer, Sneha says “The script is about the intimacy between a husband and his wife. Intimacy is of two kinds: physical and emotional. The script was a lovely one but had sequences depicting physical intimacy in detail.
“Now that I’m married, I can no more act in such sequences as it might create totally unnecessary and avoidable issues in my family. Therefore, I have refused to take up this offer,” concludes Sneha.
