Hansika joins breast cancer awareness program

The apple pie beauty Hansika Motwani has always shown her face of charity when ever the need rose. Hansika is already acclaimed for her initiatives in adopting 22 young orphaned kids in Mumbai and giving them good education and personal attention. Now, Hansika has become the brand Ambassador of  'Chennai turns Pink',an awareness programme to create breast cancer awareness among urban women. This initiative is being undertaken by the West Cancer Research Foundation (WCRF). The campaign will be launched soon.

She took a day off her busy schedules and attended a press conference, officially launching a theme song and the 'Chennai turns pink 'programme. Hansika has pledged her support to this programme and also announced that she will be bearing the expense of 30 women who will be identified by the organisers, who are in utmost need of finance in the treatment of breast cancer.

Hansika opined that the programme which will surely reduce  the stigma of breast cancer through education on symptoms and treatment and hoped that greater knowledge will lead to earlier detection, which is associated with higher long-term survival rates. Noble thought indeed.
