Anjali asked to appear before court

Actress Anjali who went missing from hotel Dasapalla in Hyderabad for five days alleging torture from her uncle and aunt in Chennai got summons from court.

Director Kalanjiyam who introduced her in Tamil industry, has lodged a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam, a film association requesting to take action against the actress who failed to attend his film shooting yesterday.

It may be recalled that Anjali's aunt Bharathi Devi had filed Habeas Corpus petition in Madras High Court stating that she was the aunt (Mother's sister) of the actress and adopted her in 2003 after following all necessary legal procedures.

Earlier, when the matter came up for hearing, the court had directed the Chennai city Police Commissioner to present Anjali within two weeks.
