Sana’s smoking comments backfires
Sizzling Sana Khan has strongly objected to the efforts made by the producers of her upcoming film Nadigayin Dairy(Tamil dubbed version of the Malayalam film Climax) to bring out posters of the film showing her smoking cigar.
Sana plays ‘Silk’ Smitha, Kollywood’s ultimate and unforgettable ‘item girl’ who sizzled on screen for more than fifteen long years before committing suicide in the mid-nineties. Bollywood’s Vidya Balan had earlier played Smitha in The Dirty Picture which won her the first-ever national award for ‘best actress’.
Suresh Krishna, Arvind and host of others are part of the film directed by Anil Kumar. The film is getting ready to hit the screens in Tamil Nadu on 24th May. Sana is banking a lot on this film to make a comeback in Tamil films. With just 10-odd days to go for the release of the film in theatres, Sanaa got to know that posters depicting her smoking cigar were getting readied for publicity.
Shocked to the hilt, Sana has reportedly told the producers not to use those posters for the film’s publicity. It might be recalled that last year, Sana regretted at a press meet about the increasing trend of smoking and drinking among South film actresses. Little would she have imagined at that time that she would find herself in a similar situation and obviously, she doesn’t want to be depicted smoking even for the sake of publicizing her film.
