The film is a super hit telugu flick which had Naani and Nithya menon in the lead. It's a fun and roller coaster romcom flick and ran quite successfully in Tollywood.
Now the latest buzz is that Rakul Preet Singh who made enough heads turn with her act in Puthagam has been roped to play female lead opposite Gautham in this romantic entertainer. Initially the female role was offered to Nithya Menon who also starred in the original, however the heroine did not want to redo the role all over again and hence walked out of this project. So the makers of this movie have roped in Rakul Preet Singh who had a meaty role in "Puthagam".
Rakul Preet is excited about the role as it has lot of scope for performance. In the original film, Nithya Menon got a state award for her performance. Rakul Preet is also making her bollywood debut with the film Yaariyaan which is a college rom com and has new comers in it.
In tamil, the film will be directed by Ravi Thyagarajan and will have music by Imman.
